Privacy policy

Last updated: [June 14th, 2026]

Flamenco Legacy Academy ("we," "us," "our") operates flamencolegacyacademy.ca. We're a family business, and we treat your information the way we'd want ours treated. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Order information. When you buy from us, our store platform (Shopify) collects your name, email address, billing details, and — for physical orders — shipping address. Payment card details are processed by Shopify and its payment partners; we never see or store your card number.
  • Email signups. If you join our list (for sample pages, the waitlist, or updates), we collect your email address.
  • Messages you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
  • Basic site data. Shopify collects standard technical data (such as device and browser information and pages visited) to make the store work and keep it secure.

How we use it

  • To deliver what you bought — including sending your digital download link.
  • To respond when you contact us.
  • To send emails you asked for. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honour it.
  • To run, protect, and improve the store.

We do not sell your personal information. Ever.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run the store: Shopify (our store platform), its payment processors, our email service provider, and — for physical orders — shipping carriers. Each receives only what it needs to do its job. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Cookies

Shopify uses cookies that are necessary for the store to function (like keeping items in your cart and securing checkout). For details on Shopify's cookies, see Shopify's own privacy documentation.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept as long as required for accounting and tax purposes. Email list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to help you.

Your rights

We operate under Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA). You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe from our emails. Just contact us and we'll take care of it.

Children

Our magazine is made for kids, but our website and store are intended for parents. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
